My name is Mónica and I was born the 29th, Frebruary 1994 in New Orleans. My mother has been very sporty so I have liked sports since I was little, especially surfing. I have gone to many competitions and I have always been the winner or the runner-up. But in 2005, a terrible natural disaster took place, the hurricane Katrina destroyed my city and its beaches. I have been very impatient all my life, so I couldn't wait for New Orleans to recover. That month, my family and I moved to California, to Santa Monica neigbourhood. I have lived ther since then. I still go surfing and win competitions. I love Santa Monica!
